Frequently Asked Questions

Will the flooring last more than 5 years?

This, of course, depends on the material and the usage (footfall) of the product. There are highly engineered coating systems to decrease the need for cleaning and maintenance and make the floor more durable. Our advisors will always suggest the right product in the right place. This does mean that on average, our floor coverings will last well over 10 years, even 20 or 30 years when you consider a linoleum or vinyl floor.

What is the standard roll width?

Lino & Vinyl are 2M wide, Bulletin Board is 1.22M & Desk Top is 1.83M

Is there a delivery charge? 

Within our delivery area, orders under £150 will incur a £25/£35 delivery charge, Over that figure delivery in free. Outside of our delivery areas, orders will be fulfilled by our selected couriers, which is chargeable. Price is subject to varying factors. please contact us for an accurate price.

Are collections available?

Collection is available from our Leyton warehouse between 9am-4:30pm.

Can I request a sample?

Yes, samples can be requested and fulfilled by Forbo Flooring.

Do you have a trade counter that I can come in and purchase products?

Yes, our trade counter is open for contractors from 9am-4:30pm Monday to Friday at our Leyton warehouse

Do you hire tools out?

Yes, we hire out 4 tools at a daily charge plus VAT; 150lb Roller, Welding Gun, Auto Groover, Spotstapler plus Hammer. All tools hired require a deposit when taken and will be refunded once the goods are back and checked into our warehouse.

Do you have a supply & fit service?

Unfortunately we are a wholesaler and only supply to contractors, wholesalers & retail companies. We can suggest suppliers who supply and fit in your local area.

Do you have a cutting service?

We offer a cut length service from our stocks at your required size, which incurs a cutting charge. We can also cut Marmoleum sheet into tiles and various JDB designs -  Contact us for further information.

Do I have an account to purchase?

No,  however we only supply to contractors, wholesalers and retail companies. If you do not have a credit account with us we can process your orders on a pro-forma basis.

How much floor do I need?

You need to measure the length of the room by the width of the room, plus a percentage of wastage. This would give you the M2 measurement which we need to assist you accurately. Your flooring contractor should provide this information to us. We do not offer a estimation service.

Can I install the flooring myself?

We would highly recommend that you use a qualified floor fitter to achieve best results.

Which adhesive do I use?

If you are using Marmoleum, we recommend Eurocol 611, for Vinyl floors we recommend Eurocol 640, and for off the floor products we would recommend Eurocol 530. [For references please view our Stocked Products page]

Can you recommend any fitters?

Yes, we have a list of credible fitters on our About Us page, who we have worked with in the past. Please refer to this page for more information.

Why does my Marmoleum not look like the sample?

As Marmoleum is a natural product its liable to Stove Yellowing, which can make the product look a different colour from the sample. The colour will change over time when exposed to natural day light. Note - also due to batch differences, products can also look different.
